The law firm of Whitfield Bryson LLP, located in Raleigh, N.C., is investigating flooding in Lumberton, NC, after Hurricane Florence.  Recent reports reveal that CSX knew or should have known that water would rush through an underpass in the towns protective levees,  yet CSX has refused for years to install a permanent floodgate and thwarted efforts before the storm to build a temporary berm.

Whitfield Bryson LLP officially filed a complaint against CSX on Monday, September 24, 2018. To read the full complaint click here.

“We’re talking about a company that placed life in danger, placed millions of dollars of personal property of individuals in danger to protect their own interests,” said state Rep. Sen. Danny Britt.

If you or anyone you know own property in Lumberton damaged by flooding due to CSX’s failure to build a floodgate, please contact the attorneys at Whitfield Bryson LLP at 919-600-5000 or by emailing info@wbmllp.com.

I feel like they really care about me. I consider them good friends.
